Kathleen Johnson

"Each successfully completed project is the result of collaboration between a designer and a client." Kathleen Johnson, proprietor of IDR and Point B Gallery believes that by making keen observations and listening carefully to the ideas of her clients, she has been able to use her skills to create interiors that have surpassed their needs. Twenty years of experience in all facets of design, including writing and teaching have given Kathy the skills to complete varied projects.
Kathy earned a Bachelor of Design from Pratt Institute, and went on to complete her Master's in Business Administration. While living in New Hampshire, she owned a design firm and regularly published articles in the State Newspaper. More recently, after re-locating her business here to New Jersey, she has completed the redesign of large scale hospitality spaces, but will still find the time to meet with a client and consult on a window treatment project. Approachable, as well as professional, clients feel very much at ease with her in charge of their most important projects. Her skills include specifying materials and finishes for new homes, and kitchen and bath design.

Jill Evans

Much of Jill's art and interior designs have been influenced by the natural elements that surrounded her as she matured in coastal New Jersey. Jill's diverse background includes being a licensed Floral Designer, Retail Visual Merchandiser, Christmas Coordinator, Art Instructor, and more. After graduating from the duCret School of the Arts, Jill received many awards for her work which has included photography and painting. Jill especially likes working with oils, charcoal and enjoys pastels as well. As a talented jewelry designer, she is our resident “jewelry girl” at IDR.  She is always designing new pieces, many of which include natural treasures found on the Jersey beaches and sold exclusively at Point B Gallery.

Kristie Mason

Kristie Mason is an Interior Decorator with a passion for fine details that make homes unique and inviting. "Even the smallest spaces have unlimited potential for becoming functional and beautiful. I love to reveal possibilities that clients never dreamed of." She specializes in model home merchandising, sales office planning, and residential design.

While studying design, Kristie worked as an assistant to five designers in a busy retail furniture showroom and studio. After relocating to the Metro DC area, she finished her degree in Interior Design and began merchandising model homes for large developers in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Atlanta. This has earned her several Sales and Marketing Awards (SAM) for communities throughout the Northeast.

"I believe my clients become a decorating partner in the process. There is a combined effort on both ends to create the perfect look. Each project is a wonderful learning experience for everyone. You learn a little about design, and I'll show you what I can do to make your home exactly what you always wanted."

MJ Morris

MJ originally began her career in fashion merchandising and retail management. After designing her own home, her passion became interior design. As a daughter of an architect, she combines the technical and creative aspects of design. She has been working in residential design for 5 years with hands-on experience at a custom drapery studio and furniture showroom. Focusing oin millwork and lighting, MJ's analytical approach to her projects offers contemporary ideas as well as functional solutions. "I believe each environment should reflect not only the client's tastes but also their lifestyle. I enjoy concentrating on the details that set each room apart." Visual texture is created through her use of beautiful textiles and interesting shapes with an appreciation for the traditional and modern.

MJ hold a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration as well as a degree in Interior Design. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and has attended Phillips Lighting Education Center in Somerset, NJ.
